Share Your Best Wedding Day Memories

shellyBest wedding day memories are made of those special and fun moments that are always recurring in your mind over and over again. The moments the photographer catches when no one thinks anyone is looking, the spontaneous gestures of the bride and groom, the reception and those special moments created with family and friends that last a lifetime.

I know the day I was married my husband had to literally drag me away from the reception to get changed so we would not be late getting to our honeymoon destination on time! Yes, it was already paid for and we had to be checked in no later than 10PM. I still laugh about it and so does everyone else because they remember it too! But I also remember that after we reached out honeymoon destination we went out on the porch of our secluded cabin with a bottle of champagne and crystal champagne glasses.  The moon was full and you could see all the stars, the moons light reflected off the diamonds in my wedding ring sparking everywhere, it was so peaceful and romantic. We sat there for a long time talking, smiling and reminiscing about the events of the day. It was very special to me and I will never forget those moments and how they made us feel.

Weddings are a time of joy, love and celebration. The most personal account of your wedding day memories is from your own heart. Capture the feelings, memories and emotions of the day by writing them down. The accounts of these moments are attached with special feelings and can be relived over and over and handed down to your children and grandchildren; Inspiring generations for years to come.

Some of the best ways to preserve those special moments is to create a photo journal. Find a journal or memory book; use the pictures from your photographer along with other photos taken by friends and family. Write a narrative of your memories using the pictures for illustration, of course there will not always be pictures to show the memories but your accounts of them will be priceless in years to come.

Special days like these are created by all the unique and talented styles of the couples, family and friends. Along with the help of photographers, music and florist the day is made to be unforgettable.

Another way to save money on your reception wedding centerpieces is to have your florist show you how to put one together. Get your friends and family together and show them how you want your centerpieces to be created. If you know how to do this yourself you are ahead of the game and it will save you time and money!

TIP:  If you are planning to use real flowers and you are doing the centerpieces yourself; BE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH COLD STORAGE to keep them fresh before placing them onto your wedding and reception tables.

Stretch your dollars and find out what flowers are in season, these are usually cheaper than what is not in season. If you are set on a particular flower that is too expensive for your budget you should consider using silk wedding flowers. There are many real touch silk flowers that look great and some are even scented!

Some of the best flowers for a March, April or May wedding are; hydrangeas, roses, tulips, lilac, cosmos, peonies, cherry and apple blossoms, hyacinths, and sweet peas.

I love this floral wedding swag made with peonies and roses!! It looks great with tall glass candle holders!
